Welcome to the Volunteer Attorney Program!

The VAP seeks to increase access to justice for low-income New Mexicans by connecting pro se clients with members of the private bar. It achieves this goal in two ways: (1) direct case placement with pro bono attorneys through its direct representation program and (2) brief advice and counsel with pro bono attorneys through its legal clinic program. Our direct representation program places cases that are referred to VAP through its community partners. And our legal teleclinics program recruits volunteer attorneys to provide a one-time consultation to qualifying applicants.

All teleclinic consultations are by telephone between the hours of 1:00-4:00 p.m.
