Direct-Rep Program – receive recurring pro bono opportunities that will impact the lives of low-income New Mexicans. Choose the scope of service that you’re willing to provide ranging from one-time advice and counsel, brief services, or extended services.

(New Mexico Legal Aid provides Malpractice insurance for cases accepted through the Direct-Rep Program)

Legal Teleclinics – provide one-time telephonic consultations from the comfort of your office or home! VAP Offers multiple Teleclinics throughout the year. These are typically scheduled on a Thursday from 1:00-4:00 pm (MST).

(Malpractice insurance is provided by the Access to Justice Commission, for consultations provided during clinic hours)

Legal Fairs – join us as we resume our in-person legal fairs around the state. Volunteer to provide one-time in-person consultations during the scheduled event.

(Malpractice insurance is provided by the Access to Justice Commission, for consultations provided during the legal fair)

When volunteering with VAP, you will have the opportunity to earn multiple CLE credits throughout the year:

  • VAP provides multiple free CLEs during the course of the year
  • You can also earn up to 4 CLE Self-Study Credits for pro bono services rendered through VAP! (1 General CLE credit / 3 hours of pro bono services rendered)
